Homegrown workspace virtualisation service provider Accops has set a plan to double its revenue and expand overseas at a time the digital workspace and cloud service industry is undergoing a major consolidation.
The two most prominent deals in the sector in 2022 include Broadcom’s plan to acquire VWware in a $61 billion cash-and-stock deal while digital workspace service provider Citrix has been acquired by Vista Equity Partners and Evergreen Coast Capital Corp in a transaction valued at $16.5 billion.
The consolidation has thrown open opportunities for other players in the segment with some of the customers seeking alternate options.
“Our revenue goals are bullish. We would be doubling our revenue next financial year,” said Harish Menon, CEO, of Accops Systems Pvt. Ltd. on the sidelines of Infocom, the flagship event of the ABP Group. The company clocked a revenue of Rs 70 crore last year.
“A large part of our sales is subscription based which means a lot of this revenue will be on a recurring basis year on year,” Menon said.
Accops has around 750 clients with operations in three geographies - India, Japan, and West Asia.
“Next year, we would be looking at Asean as a region. We also intend to expand in North America and Europe through partners,” said Menon.
He said that the company has grown significantly during the pandemic period and being the only made-in-India company at that time, could expand its presence significantly.
“A lot of unmanaged devices will continue to enter the network, and security posture should be such as to handle this proactively. We use machine learning which build algorithms and some of which are pre-programmed and some of which we learn from customers. So, we are working towards the direction where security is more proactive than reactive,” he said.
